We had a great family dinner at a cozy hotel with a Bavarian atmosphere and delicious food. Our room was large, clean, and traditional with lots of cupboard space. the breakfast was really good and there was a nice terrace outside the dining room with lots of flowers and a great view. the staff was friendly and helpful, giving information about the area and accommodating our needs. the hotel is located near many other places we wanted to visit, making it a good base location.
Despite the comfortable room, the hotel can be noisy at night due to nearby construction or traffic.

Adorable hotel in lovely grounds.
Not the hotel's fault, but we were cycle touring, and Wieling was trickier to reach by bicycle from Starnberg than we expected. Make sure you have a good map if you are taking this route.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The owner himself greeted us upon arrival, even though the reception was still closed. Check-in was quick and easy, and he gave us helpful information about the area. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. We especially enjoyed the delicious dinner at the restaurant, which had a cozy Bavarian atmosphere. The breakfast was also fantastic, with everything we needed to start our day off right. The staff, both at the reception and restaurant, were very friendly, kind, and helpful. We appreciated the large private parking and safe space for our bicycles. Moreover, the hotel's location was convenient for visiting other nearby places.
Nothing could have been better.

Our room had a lot of noise facing a road with lot of traffic.

While traveling with friends who had never been to Germany, I selected Hotel Alte Linde because of its location just south of Munich. I had no desire to drive in Munich so we took the train into Munich from Feldafing (45 minutes). The receptionist at the hotel told us about a special train fare that included a day of travel on all Munich public transportaion for all four of us less than 20 Euros. We spent another day touring Nueschwanstein, Weiskirche, and Garmisch. All of those sights were within an easy drive from the hotel. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very good, well-appointed, roomy and exceptionally clean. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent with superb service and good regional dishes. I highly recommend this hotel. We did stay at another akzent hotel, the Schranne in Rothenburg and found it to be excellent as well.

The location was great as it was easy to find and close to the main road. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable, and Wi-Fi was fast and reliable.
The hotel did not have a gym or any facilities for exercise, which was inconvenient. the experience was not worth the price paid, and we would not choose to stay here again.

We had a fantastic experience during our romantic escape at this hotel. The cozy and traditional furnishings really added to the ambiance and made us feel right at home. The superb breakfast and delicious meals in the restaurant were among the highlights of our stay. Additionally, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, always available to answer our questions and offer helpful advice. The location provided easy access to local attractions and beautiful sights, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.
The noise from traffic and nearby construction made it difficult to get a good night's rest. Additionally, there were a few outdated elements in the room that could benefit from some modern upgrades. Nevertheless, these minor issues did not detract significantly from our overall enjoyment of the hotel, and we would still recommend it to others looking for a charming and comfortable stay.
